Ironvale Command

Ironvale Command scratches the classic strategy itch without needing servers. You manage territory, plan supply routes, and defend against waves of raiders across a hand-drawn map. It's the kind of game where a single campaign mission can take a whole coffee break.

The AI is fair rather than brutal, which I appreciated. It punishes lazy defense but rewards clever choke-point setups. Everything saves locally and there's no online requirement at all, so it's ideal for commutes.

The interface takes a little learning — tooltips could be clearer — but once it clicks, the pacing is very satisfying. This is a thinker, not a twitch game.
